Captain's Report - Carl Potgieter
This is the fifth, and final, AGM that I stand before you as Club Captain. When looking back on previous reports the economic challenges are a common theme. This past year has been no different but our strict financial management has ensured that we have had a financially successful year. Read the rest of the report here.

22-2 Ball Interfering with Play
Except when a ball is in motion, if a player considers that another ball might interfere with his play, he may have it lifted.

A ball lifted under this Rule must be replaced (see Rule 20-3). The ball must not be cleaned, unless it lies on the putting green (see Rule 21).

In stroke play, a player required to lift his ball may play first rather than lift the ball.

Note 1:
Except on the putting green, a player may not lift his ball solely because he considers that it might interfere with the play of another player. If a player lifts his ball without being asked to do so, he incurs a penalty of one stroke for a breach of Rule 18-2, but there is no additional penalty under Rule 22.

Note 2:
When another ball is in motion, a ball that might influence the movement of the ball in motion must not be lifted.

Penalty for breach of the rule
Match play – Loss of hole; Stroke play – Two strokes.

Tara, Zilke and Kaylah: Inter - Club Challenge winners
 Pam Golding Properties WGWP Amateur Championship
Inter-Club Challenge Shield - Silver Division: Winners Best Gross & Nett: Bellville
L-R: Tara Griebenow, Zilke Bal and Kaylah Williams

The Inter-Club Challenge Shield was first awarded in 1928 and is a closed trophy played for by WP clubs at the WGWP Amateur Championship.

Teams comprising 3 or 4 players with the best 3 gross scores counting. This year the Bellville team of Tara, Zilke and Kaylah won the Inter-Club Challenge Shield as well as the best nett team score.

This is the first time in the 88 years that the Shield has been competed for that Bellville have won.
