Junior Clinics
Our Bellville GC growing a young member program started in August 2016. This program is open to all junior members of Bellville Golf Club.

The goal of this program is not just to teach the young members the basic techniques and fundamentals of the game but also to teach the how to act, dress, behave and be a proud member of the club as well as knowing the rules and ethics of the game, the club and how to take care of the golfing environment.

The young members will learn the different types of competitions as well as how to score for different formats, they will also be exposed to golf instruction ensuring they are ready to play at a healthy level when playing with other members, guest and when representing the club in junior competitions ex. Junior league ect.

This is a open invitation to all young golfers of Bellville GC under the age of 18. The program will run every Wednesday 16:00-17:00, Bellville GC.

Hollow Tining Dates
The course will be closed for hollow tining on Sunday, 28 August, in the afternoon and the whole of Monday, 29 August and Tuesday, 30 August. All Bellville members will have reciprocity at Durbanville Golf Club during these days.

Rule 31 Four-Ball Stroke Play
31-4 Order of Play

Balls belonging to the same side may be played in the order the side considers best.

31-5 Wrong Ball
If a competitor is in breach of Rule 15-3b for making a stroke at a wrong ball, he incurs a penalty of two strokes and must correct his mistake by playing the correct ball or by proceeding under the Rules. His partner incurs no penalty, even if the wrong ball belongs to him.

If the wrong ball belongs to another competitor, its owner must place a ball on the spot from which the wrong ball was first played.

Although each of these Drivers has the same head size and the same loft (and the same shaft flex), each Driver, when placed on the robot tester, will launch the ball with different launch angles and spin rates creating very different ball flight and trajectory.

Now add 16 different golfers and (x4 Drivers), you have 64 different results

But we’re not in the business of fitting robots. You’re all different. Different swing speeds, different angle of attack, different club head release. So actually you’ll all create different trajectories and distances with any of these Drivers.
 
 
There’s no big secret. There’s a Driver configuration that will maximise your potential. For most golfers that’s an extra 10 – 20 metres. For some it’s a lot, lot more. You visit us, let us assess your golf swing and within 15 minutes you challenge us to find you 15 extra metres (or more). Contact us now.


Your distance potential is determined to large extent by your clubhead speed and we want to make sure you’re not losing out. We can do this using a combination of appropriate technique adjustments and golf-specific fitness exercises.
 

Clubhead speed, as the name suggests, is the speed of the clubhead immediately before impact with the golf ball,
and it has a big impact on your potential distance.
