Dear Readers, We would like to wish all our members a very happy, prosperous and safe 2018! 2018 Started off on a busy note with the joker draw and curry night! The event was extremely well supported, the curry was delicious and Nandi and Charlie, our entertainers for the evening, were in good form! Fortunately, or unfortunately, the draw of R100 000.00 was not won! Our grand total for Wednesday 17th January 2018 is R110 000.00! Mrs Janine Payne has joined the marketing team at Benoni Country Club as Marketing Manager. Some of you have already met Janine and I am sure as time goes by, you will all get to know her well. Welcome Janine!

Due to the popularity of this evening, please make sure that you contact the Food & Beverage department to make a reservation for your dinner table. Friday Live will continue every Friday afternoon from 3:00pm until 8:00pm with the addition of spit braai roast beef rolls as a light meal option over and above the bar menu or pizza. We have Charlie and Nandi lined up for today, see you there! Regards, Darren Millington

The Mixed Doubles Knockout rounds have gone so well and on time that the final has already been played, this is unusual as it normally goes through to the end of February. Thank you to all who entered for your participation and enthusiasm. Congratulations to the winners - CJ Head and Sherry Manners, the Mixed Doubles Knockout Trophy will be presented to them during the Club Championship awards ceremony.

Operation 36: A shot to Master | | If your handicap is 15 or above, then review your performance and technique on this shot. It’s the short-pitch shot (between 15 - 50 metres). For most golfers, a 27 - 55 metre shot. If you’re taking 3 or less to get down from here, every time, then your handicap should be dropping. It’s worth investing some time and effort into improving and practising your technique. | | |
