The construction of an increased Halfway House and a changed Pro Shop facility to accommodate the many new members, golfers, cyclists and guests is almost underway. The Banquet Hall will be extended and modernized to accommodate the numerous functions received by the Club. There will also be a brand new veranda area that will be incorporated into the alterations for you to enjoy with the family.
Building will commence on the 21st of May. We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience caused whilst the construction is under way.
| | Congratulations to BCC Golf Captain, Joey Gaskell who successfully located the Joker amongst the remaining cards in last week's draw, walking away with R70 000. That means that this Wednesday the Joker Draw commences again where R25 000 will be up for grabs.
If you would like to stand a chance to win book a table with Delia on 011 849 5211.
A tasty Curry Buffet consisting of two curries will be on offer along with all the condiments. Entertainment will be provided by Edwin. |
Renovations are nearing the end and the Club is looking forward to welcoming Curves Gym early June. The gym will add to the five sporting codes already offered by Benoni Country Club. The introduction of Curves follows the relocation of Harriers Running Club in March this year.
The Club continues to go from strength to strength, demonstrating why it is ‘Home to the Community’ of Benoni. | | |

| | | | We’re trying to help you make more 3’s on the Par 3’s. Better decision-making is going to improve your scores. | | | Despite the increased amount of GPS data available, regular and inexperienced golfers still, on the majority of occasions, come up short. Even when a golfer knows the “yardage” on each of their clubs, their misses are mostly short. Simple Tip #2 Why are you expecting the perfect golf shot? What is your level of consistency? | | If there’s no trouble behind the green, then ignore the distance to the flag, and pick a club that, when struck well, will get you to the back of the green. That way a less than perfect ball strike has a chance of getting to the green. Rarely do even good ball strikers make perfect contact. | | | | | Where are the majority of your misses on all approach shots? Would aiming for the back of the green (assuming no trouble behind the hole) be a course management strategy that would improve your whole round? Improving your performance on Par 3’s will probably increase your enjoyment throughout the round. Think about improvement.
