 Dear Member, Please find below a brief update regarding our current course condition, and the status of the various projects that will take place from 3 April until 11 April 2018, as well as our current water situation. Danie Jooste gains 25 metres with his new Callaway Rogue Driver I sometimes forget how big of a difference a good custom fitting can make. I had the privilege last week of doing a fitting with a young golfer who comes for lessons with Swingfit coach Murray. Danie Jooste joined me on the range and after I had a look at his current clubs. I suggested the new Rogue Driver. His current Callaway driver was not performing the way it needed to, because of how much his game improved over the last few months due to good coaching and a growth spurt. Two things stood out for me in this session: the first was how much his clubhead speed improved when we added a lighter shaft to his setup. The clubhead speed helped us to improve his ball speed and his distance. We added 25 meters to his drive without taking away any of his accuracy, in fact he was more accurate with the new setup. The shaft and head combination worked extremely well for him and without changing anything in his swing we gave him more distance and better accuracy. I also had a FlightScope monitor on hand that gave us shot-for-shot feedback where we could track his improvement. Not only did we add more distance, we also managed to do a great deal for him on the driver. Danie is now a happy customer that will get a lot of joy out of his new driver. Reciprocity for next week while the course is closed I would also just like to remind you that the course will be closed next week due to some maintenance work. We have arranged some great rates for you with Stellenbosch, Erinvale, Pearl Valley, Steenberg and Somerset West Golf Club. We trust that you will enjoy your time at some of the other great clubs in the area.  Goodbye Ivan and Belinda! It is with sadness in our hearts that we have to say goodbye to Ivan and Belinda Palframan, who have both played such an important role in the club over the years – you will be sorely missed. We want to wish you well for the move to Hermanus, please come and visit soon!
Callaway VIP Experience It was with great pleasure that we can announce that the winners of our competion on FB enjoyed a wonderful day at De Zalze. The 4 winners were given the full treatment: from personalised parking and lockers with wines and golf gear sponsored by Callaway, to a round of golf, finishing their day with complimentary Stellenbrau beers and pizzas on the terrace, enjoying the wonderful view!

16 March: Reverse GD Our annual members golf day, in aid of the Go Kids Charity, was a huge success! Thank you to all our sponsors who helped to make this day a wonderful festive event.
20 March: Ladies Open As usual, this was a splendid day and the "birdies" turned up in all their colourful feathers! The day was sponsored again by Jaguar, who displayed their cars and branding.
Thank you to Marius and his team for their continuous support. Our new sponsor Anna Basson was very happy to be aboard – welcome to them. The Wine Ambassadors were involved on the terrace with post golf wine tastings and the function room was filled with lots of prizes and colourful ladies. Dinner went well, Jordan sponsored the table wines and the ladies had a lovely time.

Let us entertain the kids with fun and interactive golf activities.
