I can’t remember the last time I watched the full coverage of a PGA event that wasn’t one of the Majors, but last week’s Arnold Palmer Invitation was riveting. Obviously Tiger makes a difference and with 9 holes to play he was the form player. In the end Tiger “blinked” and Rory, De Chambeau and Rose all lifted their games with Rory birdieing the last to ensure a win...very exciting and a great forerunner to the Masters coming up in a few weeks.

The next Bunnies Programme will be starting in April. This programme has proven to be a wonderful success in the past few years and with the wonderful encouragement of Nicci Taylor and the Ladies Golf Committee we have seen an lovely increase in participation of new lady golfers at our club. If you are keen or know of anyone who might be interested in starting, please let me know.

Martin will be running some events for the juniiors over this Easter, so if you want to get your kids excited about this wonderful game, please remember to sign them up for our Easter Holiday Clinics or enrol them for lessons during the 2nd term.

It was such a great honour to have Alma Swan celebrate her 81st birthday @ Monica’s. Alma is one of our regular customers and is always such an inspiration to us all. She was joined by her family, Martin, Keenan, daughter Cathy, brother John & Bazil as well as friends Sue & Venece. Happy birthday, Alma!

There are many variables that impact on the backspin created at impact.
Understanding some simple physicshelps us to get to the right combination of
launch angle, ball speed, and spin rate to add 20+ metres to your tee shot.

What if I told you that in many cases, fat or thin contact, or a swing-path-club-face-relationship
creating a fade or slice, can be traced to poor posture with incorrect bend and tilt at address?

Kellie Stenzel, in a Golf.com instruction video, aimed at golfers with an inclination to hit fat iron shots,
goes straight to your posture and upper body bend at setup, as a major cause of this problem.
Watch the video now with a good tip for an in-round checkup you can continually make.

Stenzel has a good tip in her video, but the question is, if you were asked to pull a Driver, and then a hybrid,
and then a #7 iron out of your bag and set up correctly each time; would you have the knowledge of the
key check points to a good setup?
Not sure?
