Times really are a changing and it so nice to see the momentum that our club is enjoying. I think both courses are in very good condition and the new greens on The Woods course have settled very nicely. The new logos, Pro Shop and The Watershed have all elevated Mount Edgecombe and I am sure you are all enjoying the improvements. I was looking through some old pictures of the Driving Range from 2010 and compared them to now, how quickly time flies and we forget to smell the roses. This week is the Players Championship, the 5th major as some like to call it. Again we should be entertained with some wonderful golf. Of course the main talking point is that Tiger is playing, it will be interesting to see if he still has what it takes. I like the quote from David Feherty: “the only mistakes I have made when commenting on Tigers career are to underestimate him...” | | | The end of this month will be Monica’s 6th Anniversary at the Range, so keep an eye out for a special party! Need to get you confidence back and starting hitting the ball better than you ever thought possible? We can help... PRO CAR CARTS are now a proud partner of the Range, if you need any assistance with buying or maintaining your cart, please give them a call. |

New golf balls, with a greater performance-appeal to the regular golfer, are hitting the market. | | | | | If you’re a regular golfer who wants no compromise, then come and see us. You’ll also be surprised at some of the price points on these high performing golf balls. | | |

| We’re trying to help you make more 3’s on the Par 3’s. Better decision-making is going to improve your scores. | | | Despite the increased amount of GPS data available, regular and inexperienced golfers still, on the majority of occasions, come up short. Even when a golfer knows the “yardage” on each of their clubs, their misses are mostly short. Simple Tip #2 Why are you expecting the perfect golf shot? What is your level of consistency? | | If there’s no trouble behind the green, then ignore the distance to the flag, and pick a club that, when struck well, will get you to the back of the green. That way a less than perfect ball strike has a chance of getting to the green. Rarely do even good ball strikers make perfect contact. | | | | | Where are the majority of your misses on all approach shots? Would aiming for the back of the green (assuming no trouble behind the hole) be a course management strategy that would improve your whole round? Improving your performance on Par 3’s will probably increase your enjoyment throughout the round. Think about improvement. If we can help, | | | |
