Augusta Masters Sweepstake
This weekend is arguably the best golfing weekend for the year and Bob, our new bar manager has started a sweepstake to enhance this occasion.

We have selected the top 50 for the event and for R50 you can purchase a player by drawing a name. If your player wins, you take home R2000-00. Sweepstake n0 1 has been sold out already, we will be having a maximum of 3, so you could have 3 chances of winning R2000 gorillas all you have to do is see Bob at the bar.

Maklik nê? Betting closes Friday night.

Price increases
It’s that time of the year that we have to increase our bar & kitchen prices because of VAT , suppliers increase & sin taxes.

Dankie dat julle verstaan.

A friendly reminder that we are having a special general meeting on Wednesday 11 April at 18h40 to discuss the renovations to our dear clubhouse, she does need a little face lift.

The proposed renovations are up at the entrance of the clubhouse and in the bar.

This is yet another milestone in our history and it’s important that members participate in these decisions, so please try and make it on Wednesday.

Windhoek Pairs
We will be kicking off with this popular annual event on saturday in the pm competition. The cost is an R80 comp fee which includes 2 golf balls and it’s a Betterball Stableford.

The more pairs that enter, the more can qualify for the regional finals, so it would be lovely to see everyone participate. For those that can’t make it on Saturday, we will have a chance on Wednesday 11 April.

Foursomes /Whisky Draw

Friday we have a little foursomes comp from 15h30 off the 10th, it is such a lekker format where you alternate shots on every hole and drive off on either even or uneven numbers.

The comp is a Betterball Stableford, add your handicaps and take 50%. Prizegiving straight after the game comp fee is R20.

Lucky draw is worth R2800-00 sa rant and abe will be doing the raffles.

Maggie will be making her delicious soup for the hungry.

Mixed Open

Need I say more? Ine of my favourite events of the year,  it’s just such a fun format especially for a sunday afternoon.

On this day you are almost guaranteed that you are going to finish well under par, if you don’t the potatoes might be smiling at you! The booking sheet is at the pro shop!

Don’t miss this one!

Divots & pitch marks
Once again a plea to you guys to please help keep our course beautiful by repairing other people's pitch marks. It’s our course and we must maintain it.

I love repairing pitch marks on the green because I hardly ever hit the green, it also unsettles the rest of the field if they see "he’s repairing his pitch mark again", probably another birdie putt, yah right!

If you know a child between the ages of 6 and 13, do you want their sporting participation to be about
becoming an elite athlete, or do you really want them to have fun socializing while learning some
movement and balance skills? Let them try golf!

There’s a lot of evidence supporting the argument that we should make sure that enjoyment and a
multi-sport approach are fundamental to their early development.

As coaches we want children to be safe, to feel settled, comfortable and integrated with other children,
and of course to progress. But as well as progress, we need to provide them with the levels of enjoyment
and fulfilment that will keep them active, happy, and connected to a pastime that
will be very valuable to their life.

Come and talk to us about the best way to introduce golf to your child
or how to develop their ability.
