We will be getting more information out about this event in a couple weeks, but we have had several questions about sign up for this event. We will start sign up via ForeTees at 7:30 am on Friday, April 13th. The field will be open to the first 64 two person teams to sign up (please sign up with a partner).

We have some great new things for this event in 2018 that are going to make this event even more fun, more details coming in two weeks.

We are only about one month away from our 2018 Men’s League Draft!!

The CCL Men's League plays on Tuesday evenings and is our largest all-member event of the year (over 200 members participating). For our new members we kick the league off with a draft of any new players (all new players are drafted onto an already formed team). This provides for some mixtures in who is on each team and makes the CCL Men's League a great opportunity for new members to meet some players at the club.

Included in the entry fee to the league ($145) is weekly gross and net skins and prizes for the top 8 teams in the playoffs. Each player on last year’s winning team won over $200 in the Golf Shop! To sign up for Men’s League click here and send me your name, email and if you have any interest in captaining a team for 2018. If you were on a team last year we will automatically assume that you will remain on the same team for 2018 unless we hear differently.

The Draft
The first thing to know about the draft is that every player that enters the draft is put on a team (nobody goes undrafted). We are currently finalizing how many teams will be in the league for 2018. It will be dependent on how many new players we have sign up for the league. The draft will be held in The Pub on Tuesday, April 10th (6:00 pm). I encourage everybody participating in Men’s League to attend the draft as we will have FREE KEG BEER available to everybody that evening.

Weekly Play
Weekly play will start Tuesday, April 24th and continue through Tuesday, August 28th (there are a couple of open weeks due to Memorial Day, Jambalea and 4th of July). Each week four players from each team will compete and your team will play one other team from the league. The four players from your team will be split into two teams of two players. The teams will then play against two players from the opposing team in a four-ball match. In addition to the four-ball match each player will play an individual match. Individual matches will be determined by splitting the teams into A, B, C and D players and having A vs. A, B vs. B, C vs. C and D vs. D. The winner of each of these matches gets one point for their team. The most a team can win in one week is 6 points.

If you aren’t playing in league for the night, but you are available to play you can still join us for some golf and beer. We typically have 8 to 12 players come out and play 9 holes that are not a part of the league that evening. Each week those players will gather around the golf shop and we will help you determine a starting hole at 5:30 pm.

The new 2018 Chrome Soft officially launches this Friday and you will certainly see some advertising for it over the weekend if you are watching the PGA Tour.

We are starting the season off with a chance for you to buy 3 dozen and get 1 dozen free personalized golf balls. This is a ball that you need to try in 2018 and I truly believe it is the best ball out there.

Looking for a 260 yard+ tee shot with an average swing speed?
Launching it higher will help. Just how high would you need to launch your tee shots?

If you know a child between the ages of 6 and 13, do you want their sporting participation to be about
becoming an elite athlete, or do you really want them to have fun socializing while learning some
movement and balance skills? Let them try golf!

There’s a lot of evidence supporting the argument that we should make sure that enjoyment and a
multi-sport approach are fundamental to their early development.

As coaches we want children to be safe, to feel settled, comfortable and integrated with other children,
and of course to progress. But as well as progress, we need to provide them with the levels of enjoyment
and fulfilment that will keep them active, happy, and connected to a pastime that
will be very valuable to their life.

Come and talk to us about the best way to introduce golf to your child
or how to develop their ability.
