Some of you live for the opportunity to play Match Play. The chance to throw away a bad hole and come right back to even the match on the next hole is a nice thing that stroke play doesn’t offer. For your fun, we offer several different match play events each season. Take a look at the descriptions below and then sign up for these events via ForeTees!
Let me know if you have any questions.
Dunning Cup Season Long - Qualifier deadline on April 23 This is our second year for the Dunning Cup, our Gross Match Play (no handicap) bracket event that will be played throughout the year. In order to participate in this event players will need to play a qualifying round from the blue tees between now and May 1st. In order to count as a qualifying round the player must tell the Golf Shop prior to the start of the round and must have another member sign the scorecard. The player with the lowest score will earn the #2 seed as our 2017 champion, Nate Wright, will have the #1 see. The rest of the players will be seeded based on their qualifying score through the top 16 seeds. The field will then be split into pods of four players and each player will be guaranteed three matches. The player from each pod with the best record will move on to compete for the semi-finals. All matches will be played with no handicaps and will be played from the blue tees.

From there, the pathway can take so many different directions with all sorts of different levels of achievement.
