Congratulations to Mr. Howard Mathues for achieving the first hole-in-one for the 2018 season! Howard holed out on #6 West from 176 yards with his trusty 7-iron on Thursday, January 25th. Great shot!

The Inaugural Mixed Pinehurst was contested on Sunday, January 21, 2018. Twelve teams competed in the drive, swap and alternate format on a beautiful, sunny, winter day. The unique format created some interesting dynamics as each player would drive, hit their partner's ball, then decide which was in a better position to begin the alternate shot. Everyone gathered after the round in the Golf Clubhouse Grille to watch the local Jaguars give it their all against the Patriots. Executive Chef Michael Meuse and team prepared a delightful pork chop dinner, finished off with a sweet banana pudding, a truly appropriate Carolina inspired meal.

Congratulations to our winning teams of Bob & Paula Fairley of the top flight and Joe & Trish Arnett of the second flight.

We hope you all can join our upcoming mixed events:
  - Friday, February 9th – Member Golf Mixer “3-Club Challenge”
- Sunday, February 18th - Couples Valentine’s Tournament
- Friday, March 2nd – Member Golf Mixer “March Madness Skills Challenge”
- Saturday & Sunday, March 3rd & 4th – Couples Club Championship
- Sunday, March 11th – Mars v. Venus
- Friday, April 6th – Member Golf Mixer “Par 3 Challenge”

Sensational technology in two great Drivers. Choosing the right one, and then setting it up with the perfect fitting for your golf swing, can make 20+ yards difference, and a big impact on your accuracy.

Add ‘Hammerhead Technology’ that raises the CoR across the face, and you’ll quickly work
out that not only will this be a straighter, more consistent Driver, it will allow you to swing
the club faster and still retain consistency.

Let’s put you in the setup that gives you the best launch conditions (launch angle, spin rate, ball speed)
to max out the return you can get from either of these Drivers.
Buy the most metres.

With all the new and exciting releases of golf equipment, it’s likely that many of you will be looking at buying
a new Driver, searching for better performance that will undoubtedly include extra distance.
I want to leave you with this thought.

Justin Thomas is 145 lbs and crushes his tee shots past 275 yards on average. He has hit it over 365 yards on a Par 5.

If you are going to buy a new Driver in the weeks and months ahead, please make sure you invest time
with us in finding the right setup for your golf swing. Remember in that time together, just as it happened
with Justin Thomas, we might find small adjustments in your swing that make really big distance improvements.
