We have received 91 entries for the 2018 Men’s Member Guest. Thank you everyone for your interest. We will be selecting 66 teams via a lottery drawing. The Lottery Drawing will take place today, May 4th and the results will be e-mailed this afternoon.

The dates for the 2018 Men’s Member Guest are Wednesday, September 19th through Saturday, September 22nd.



Ladies be sure to mark your calendars for September 14th and 15th for the 2018 Ladies Member Guest.

We will be sending out the finer details shortly, but wanted to make sure you SAVED THE DATE! We are looking forward to another awesome event and we want a great turn out!! See you all in September!



It’s not too late to sign up for this year’s Couples Championship.

The event is this Sunday, May 6th with tee times starting at 9:00 am. The format is 1 Net Best Ball of 2 on the Front Nine and Captain’s Choice on the Back Nine with Gross and Net Divisions.

If you would like to sign up, you may do so online or by calling the Golf Shop. 		 



The field has been very proactive about getting their matches is. All of the second round matches for the President’s Cup have been played and the Sweet 16 has been set. Most of the third round matches have been played, as well. Those matches must be played by Sunday, May 20th.

The Handicap Computer is now up and running in the Golf Shop. It is conveniently located against the wall by the Oakley Sunglasses and shoes.

Please stop in and post your score at the conclusion of your rounds.

The chicken and the egg remains the perennial question.
It never seems considered that the chicken might not lay the egg, or that the egg might not hatch. 		  
 

Which comes first: the improved swing or a set of fitted Irons?

There is time for ‘block practice’. That’s trying to hit the same shot time after time.
You’ll probably have a technique improvement you’re working on.

Even when you’re engaged in a very specific ‘block practice’, you should approach it with real
focus and concentration on each shot. 
 
 
Before each shot, take a practice swing noting the feeling or movement you’re trying to re-enforce.

Now take your real shot, with your attention being on the process – not the shot result.
Did you feel or note the movement you were trying to make?
 

You’re better off hitting 50 shots carefully with 100% concentration on the improvement you’re trying to make,
than hitting 100 shots with even 80% concentration. Unsure of when to use block or random practice, then
