We had a very successful Sanlam Cancer Challenge and a huge thanks to all that supported the day. The ladies donated extra money to up their tally to R1 000, and we had another donation of R1 000 which took the total to nearly R6 000!

Below our ladies winners from left to right:
Midge Cunnington, Suzanne Christian, Lucille from CANSA and Stephanie Bennett.

Congrats to all of you and good luck for the regionals! Click on the button for the full results.

On Monday, weather permitting, we will have a car wash facility available in the car park.

Versiwash has an eco friendly mobile car wash in a very stylish unit. Due to water restrictions, this is well worth a try!

The cost to wash the exterior of the car is R60 and to wash the interior and exterior is R80. What a bargain!

The operators are very well trained, so come and play golf and return to a sparkling clean car.

Bob is having another sweepstake for the FIFA Soccer World Cup starting Friday. The top 18 teams are in the draw, and for a mere R100 bucks you can buy a team.  The Sweepstake pays out R1000 to the person that picks the winner of the World Cup, R500 to runner up and R300 to third place.

The amount of draws will depend on the amount of participants, so the more you buy the better chance you have of getting the winning team!

So maklik soos dit.

But that’s not all...

Bob is also having a sweepstake for the US Open golf tournament. Members will be able to buy the top 30 players after round one and the cost will be R50 bucks per player. The winner takes all, and according to my calculations, that is a cool R1500 gorillas!

Come and support!

We want more golfers to have a great experience out on the golf course.

To do that, you don’t have to take on the same challenge as
Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Jason Day, Louis Oosthuizen, Shangsan Feng or Lexi Thompson.
In fact, you already don’t play the same length golf course they do.

So, let’s play more formats that make it more enjoyable for more golfers.

PGA Junior League is a format that combines a competitive element with a game that stays ‘in play’ longer
(2v2 over 3x3 holes), with the playability benefits of a Scramble format.

There are 3 ‘flags’ to be won. If you’re playing 18, why not play 2v2 better ball scramble, over 3x6 holes?

And actually, why not find time to
play nine in this format (3x3 holes),
 before or after your day?

Or nine on a Sunday afternoon
with the family?

You can still have friendly competition, but it’s likely that this is a much more social format:
you come together on the tee; for the 2nd shot; and on the green. That’s more fun together.

Try it. Try and think of different ways to play the game, to allow the less skilled the opportunity to
get much more enjoyment from the experience. Or for you to change it up and enjoy yourself more.

And if you need help finding more fairways on your own, then

After my Prostate Exam, the doctor left.

The nurse came in and as she shut the door, she whispered three words no man wants to hear:

"Who was that?"
