This week instead of a video I have a few things about our Driving Range and how you can help us keep others safe during your practice.

1. The net on the Driving Range does not stop all balls. It is only 210 yards from the front of the tee and only 235 from the mats. It is roughly the same distances to get to the houses on the right. If you hit the ball farther than this, please do not hit that club on our driving range! In the last week, I have had reports from several members on the 11th tee and also several calls from the houses about balls hitting their house on the fly.

2. Please hit in front of the rope that is laid out on the range and keep your practice to a small area so that your divots are all touching each other. When you move around and take up more space it eliminates more grass for us to use for future days on the Driving Range and will force us to use the mats more often.

Junior Golf starts this week!

We are excited to get the 2018 Junior Golf Program started. We have more than 100 juniors in the program and know that it will be a lot of fun.

The next month is full of great things to do at CCL.

“Both these golfers see golf as a social pastime. It’s an opportunity to have an enjoyable outdoor hobby that they can enjoy with friends. They like to hit good shots but know they won’t have the time or inclination to commit to be as good they can be. But both could increase the number of good shots they hit quite easily if they looked for the easy, big wins open to most golfers.”

Your distance potential is determined to large extent by your clubhead speed and we
want to make sure you’re not losing out. We can do this using a combination of appropriate technique
adjustments and golf-specific fitness exercises.

Clubhead speed, as the name suggests, is the speed of the clubhead immediately before impact with the golf ball,
and it has a big impact on your potential distance.
