What a great spell of weather we have had over the weekend for the Cameronian Bowl

This was taken at 6.50am on Saturday and the day just got better and better!

Congratulations to the winners!

This fine piece of silverware is played for over 2 days and was donated to the club by Col. Buchanan Dunlop in 1947 to mark the long association with the club when they were stationed at Winston barracks. This year's winner is Ian Adam with scores of nett 67 and 70. Congratulations Ian!

The sweep winners were:

Saturday:

1st class Ross McCafferty nett 68
2nd class Ian Adam nett 67
3rd class Neil Borthwick nett 69

Sunday:
1st class Jamie Lamb, Willie Mackie, Stuart Cassidy, Chris Peat and David McMillan all on nett 70
2nd class Stuart Veitch and Robert Rogers nett 69
3rd class John Glen nett 72

It can be any make or model and doesn’t even have to be working. They will then pay you £50!

It’s not long until the World Cup kicks off on the 14th June and we can look forward to what will hopefully be 4 weeks of great football!

We have a World Cup Sweep available in the shop - £5 per pick, 32 teams and vouchers for £80, £50 and £30 will be paid out to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

Pop in and get your tickets now!

This Saturday is the Member/Guest Day when the Army Cup is played for and it is normally a great day!

Paul will have the BBQ going out on the course (weather permitting) and you and your guests can stop for a tasty burger and drink to ready yourself for the back 9.

We will have some offers on in the shop for you and your guests to take advantage of so don’t forget to look in and pick up a bargain!

If you’re a golfer shooting in the high 80’s and 90’s, there’s a good chance that your consistency
in the 170 yard+ range needs improving. An improvement on longer Par-3’s, longer approach shots,
and Par-5 second shots removes a lot of big numbers off your scorecard.

We’ll assess the performance of consistency from 5 Iron through to your longest Fairway Wood,
measuring your distances, evaluating consistency, and identifying any gaps or opportunities
to improve your equipment or technique.

Book a lesson by calling us on 01555 661456 and improve your experience out on the course, reduce the number of
misses with your longer clubs, and lower your score.

Last week we provided you with an example of a skills challenge (which also offered you the opportunity to learn about what the ball would do). When you’re practising like this, don’t forget technique.

If you missed the challenge last week,

You may be after a personal best when you’re taking on this challenge,
but before each shot, check your technique fundamentals.
There is process and result.

Remind yourself of the different practice types.

Practice isn’t everyone’s idea of fun. But we can make it fun. We can make sure you get more out of any practice. We want you to see the results. We hope we’ve helped over the last weeks.  Now let’s help you from here on. Book a lesson and we’ll find the quickest route to improvement to accelerate your progress.

Call us on 01555 661456 to book.
