It’s more than spin

Last week we showed you how striking the ball slightly higher than the sweet spot would add distance to your tee shots by knocking spin off your ball because of the “Gear Effect”.

It will also add loft to your shot because of the design of your club face. Almost all faces come with a slight roll or camber.

Your driver might have a loft number on it, but you already know that the angle of attack on the ball will create a different dynamic loft.
Now you know that striking the ball lower on the face reduces loft, and higher on the face increases loft.

You also now know that finding the right tee shot solution for you, is more than looking at numbers.
We need to look at impact location, and ways we can change your setup, ball position, swing to improve your results.

What motivates you?

Is there a particular format you enjoy most?

We’re trying to gain a better understanding of what’s important to our golfers. In the last two weeks, we’ve really appreciated the responses to the simple questions asked. If you didn’t answer and want to help out, we’ve got the first two weeks below.

This week we examine formats. We sense that this is an area of the game where golfers of different ages, and those with different handicaps, might have different views.

This is one question. Let us know your most and least favorite format.
