Eagles vs Juniors

Our club was proud to host the Eagles vs Juniors this year with the Juniors winning the day 6.5 to 5.5.

Lucky Putt a big hit!

At the last Black Tee Day, Matt ran a Lucky Putt Contest which was won by Peter McTaggart.  The boys all got behind it with plenty of banter and a mixed bag of putting skills on display.

Thanks to Jack Broom and the Men's Committee for organising the prizes with the proceeds going back into the Club.

FootJoy Shoe Fitting

Our recent shoe fitting day went well with 10 pairs of shoes being fit and sold to our members. A big thank you to FootJoy's Andrew Horan for making the day possible!

Volunteers going well!

Our Shop and on course volunteers have been doing us all very proud, their help has been invaluable.
We welcomed Carlton Stanley-Hunt to the team working with our greens staff this week. Welcome and thank you, Carl!

We have an open invitation to any other members wanting to volunteer their time in any area of the Club, please let the Shop staff know.

Matt's ball striking clinic

Tuesday 2pm

$20 per head

Do you struggle with striking the ball consistently out of the middle of the clubface? Matt's ball striking clinic will have you hitting those pure shots more often which will ultimately translate to lower scores!

Contact Matt for any enquiries.

Spin: friend or foe?

This impacts better players too
Last week we showed how many golfers have a simple swing fault that is robbing them of 21 metres. They strike their tee shots with a slightly descending blow (just 5°) rather than a slightly ascending blow.
One of the characteristics of better players is a better swing, but it's also often a faster swing speed. However, when we look at most of our better golfers, while they don’t strike the ball on the tee with a descending blow, they’re often "neutral", so even for them, the distance they’re being robbed of is substantial.

Don’t let spin rob you
Book an assessment with us and let's find your personal launch DNA: the perfect match of launch and spin for the ball speed you’re creating.
