The restrictions on golf will be lifted, and we will move forward again. Be careful if you want to “go back”. We never go back. We always go forward. You need to think about how you can make the future better than the past. Having more influence over more customers is an objective you should embrace.
 
 
This is Ollie. He’s never been to you, or as far as you know to anyone, for a lesson or any form of coaching.

He struggles around with his friends, happy if he shoots in the mid-nineties, and seems to be satisfied with that.
 
Which of the following is more likely to get him to contact you to engage in some improvement?

a) I’m a PGA coach with 5 years of teaching experience.
b) I’m a PGA Coach, and I’m obsessed with the golf swing.
c) Pay for two lessons and get the third one for free.
d) Why not have a free swing assessment?
e) How much better would your golf experience be, if you
could break 90?
f) What would you most like to improve in your golf game?

Two of these are about “you”; two are about the “price” for a service; and two are about the customer. This might seem obvious but here’s
a challenge for you.


A video challenge

Using your phone, record a video that’s you introducing yourself to your members/golfers in less than 45 seconds. Play it back and pretend to be a golfer who’s never met you. How would you respond to it?
