| | We appreciate you, and everything you do | | | | No-one is having it easy in these times. Everyone is facing challenges of one sort or another caused by COVID.
In New Zealand, you may not have the virus anymore, but a consequence of the strategy to keep the virus out means you’re very likely to be deprived of a significant number of international visitors on your golf courses.
Those of you in coastal regions of South Africa will probably have the same fears for your upcoming summer. Even if the borders open, the number of visitors will be hugely down.
So what can you do? Can you work together with your PGA colleagues, and create regional festivals to bring visitors from around the country? Can you get your avid golfers to join you in an “improvement tour”?
What plans can you put in place to create events that will attract occasional and lapsed golfers out at a regular time every week to enjoy the game?
How can you exploit the health and well-being opportunity of golf and build large adult learner programs?
With travel limited, children will be “stuck” at home more over the holidays. This must surely be the year to plan to take your junior programs to another level.
This virus is creating an extremely stressful and difficult challenge for every one of you. So let’s put aside what we can’t change and take charge of the things we can control. | | | | | | Subscribe | Legally Privileged Disclaimer Internet communications are not secure and therefore RetailTribe does not accept legal responsibility for the contents of this message.
