There is very little chance that functions are coming back in a big way this year. Restaurants and bars will be under financial pressure. But the demand for golf is just going to get greater. Are we re-thinking our model?
 
 
 
What a joy yesterday was. I reviewed the detailed impact a large number of Professionals had at their clubs in the last quarter of 2020.  

These are Professionals who have set themselves up to target goals for the club and to report back on results at the end of each month.

 

 
To see how many members each Professional had “in care” for the
management; how many of those they had engaged with through assessment, accompanied play, review, or coaching over that period.

 

 
It was amazing to see how many Professionals managing 100+ golfers in care had NOT had a single membership resignation over that period. What a result for their club.

 

 
In many cases, I was also able to see the spend comparison of their care group vs. the same quarter in 2019.

 

 
And there were some really superb new member numbers. That is new members the Professional has added.

 

 
And while they’ve been doing that, at almost every club, they had doubled coaching income vs. the same quarter in 2019.

Deciding what the reporting for your facility is going to include is best started by finding out what is most important to them in 2021 and how you might help. Then measure it, and report on it.
