Berliner and Daily Qualify for PGA Professional National Championship

The rescheduled NENY PGA Professional Championship was hosted at Hiland Park Golf Course earlier this week, a week later, due to Hurricane Henri... Scott Berliner, PGA (Assistant Professional at Saratoga Spa Golf Course), played superbly with a commanding victory firing an 8 under 64 for his second round and finishing 131 total! We wish them good luck in the National PGA Professional Championship that will be played at Omni Barton Creek in Texas next April.

PAT Professional and Amateur Event Consideration

The PGA Board of Directors, during their meeting on August 26th, modified the events eligible to be counted toward the PAT requirement by adding PGA National and Section Professional and Amateur Events, along with NCCGA, AJGA, and State High School Championships provided the individual was age 16 or older at the time of participation.  This action is consistent with the board's previous actions for collegiate and other professional events and meets the Bylaw standard of demonstrating a creditable game of golf.  The updated list and complete policy, which requires all PGA minimum standards for the Playing Ability Test to be met, is found by clicking here.
