BSI Tournament Results

The numbers tell no lies.
Hard work pays off!

Congratulations to PGA Diploma student, Mangezi Maswanganyi on winning last week’s Premier Medal with a score of 75 in windy conditions on the East Course at Royal Johannesburg & Kensington GC. Mangezi started with us back in January 2020, opening his tournament account with rounds of 89 and 87. Through hard work and the support of the BSI coaching team, he’s made excellent progress so far.

BSI Golf Day

Playing the game for a good cause

Join us on Thursday, 5th August for our annual Charity Golf Day on the world-class East Course at Royal Johannesburg & Kensington GC. They’ll be loads of fun and activities, all organised by our PGA Diploma 3rd year students. Proceeds go to the BSI Bursary Fund to provide educational and sporting scholarships for those who otherwise couldn’t afford the support.

Book your fourball early to avoid missing out. Hole and prize sponsors are always highly appreciated.

Performance Tip

Lower your scores.
Play the chip and run shot

Every golfer can lower their scores by making better decisions around the green. In our latest video, BSI Coach and PGA Master Professional, Martin Briede shows you how to play the chip and run shot.

Not Just Golf

Former Man Utd Coach joins BSI Football

We are pleased to announce that David Thorpe will be joining the BSI Football family as the Head of Football Development.

David's international and local football experience will help accelerate us forward towards our vision. He has previously fulfilled roles with Manchester United, England University, Boston United, Lincoln City Football Club, TUKS Football Academy, Black Aces Football Academy and has experience coaching in the USA and UAE as an international coach for some of the above-mentioned clubs. This wealth of experience will prove invaluable in creating an environment in which our players can excel.

Many of our students join with the ambition of playing in Europe's top leagues. David's experience within those structures is a massive coup for BSI Football. We are excited for him to start as the Head of Football Development. David will also be the Head Coach of the U23 squad for 2021.
