Impressive wins and personal bests
Congratulations to PGA Diploma student, Mutahi Kibugu on winning last week’s Premier Medal with a score of 74 on the East Course at Royal Johannesburg & Kensington GC.
Also well done to Keagan Rollinson (81) and Cobus Brits (81) for achieving personal bests.
| |  | | Mutahi Kibugu | | | Congratulations to Daniel Malan on winning last week’s Junior Academy Medal with a score of 70 on the West Course at Royal Johannesburg & Kensington GC. Daniel joined our Junior Academy in January this year. His first two tournament rounds on the West Course were 90 and 91. Through solid work with his coach, Tyrone Gibb, and the rest of the coaching team, he is making fantastic progress, knocking 21 shots off in just a few months in tournament conditions.
Also well done to Grant Labuschagne on achieving a personal best of 74.

It was great to get Team BSI back in action in a school’s tournament this week for the first time in over a year, with our team placing T2 in the prestigious Woodlands Masters. In the individual event, Michael Wallace placed T3, Grant Labuschagne 9th, Vuyisani Makama T13, Tawriq Abrahams T19, Alex Lane T34, and Josh Pretorius T37.
The top 30 in the individual standings after round 2 get to play with a Tour player in the final round, and it was a fantastic experience for Michael Wallace to play with European Tour winner, Brandon Stone in the final group.

Stuart is on a winning streak
Congratulations to PGA Diploma graduate, Stuart Smith on winning the PGA Professional Championship last week at Humewood GC with scores of 72,68,66 for a 10 under par total and a 5-shot victory. This is the 2nd year in a row that Stuart has won the PGA of South Africa’s most prestigious event and lifted the Denis Hutchinson Trophy.
