There were fifty-one attendees on hand at our first in-person membership meeting in 2 years. On Monday, October 25th, Saratoga National Golf Club hosted the 2021 Fall Membership Meeting with 45 members and associates. The following members were elected to a 2-year term Director-at-Large Board positions:

Special thanks to our outgoing Board Director, Craig McLean, PGA General Manager/Director of Golf at The Edison Club, who ended his 2nd term and was not eligible for another term. Special guests: Chris Kulinski, PGA Career & Recruiting Specialist, provided reports on Employment & Career Services along with Brian Bain, PGA Player Development Manager, and Ian Marshall, District 1 Director and our Section Officers & Committee Members.

The highlight of the meeting was our special guest, a PGA HOPE Albany Chapter graduate, Rhonda Liddell. Rhonda was our NENY PGA HOPE Ambassador at the PGA HOPE Golf & Wellness Week hosted by Congressional a few weeks ago. She shared her incredible experience and how PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) which provinces free golf instruction for military and veterans, has been life-changing for her. Rhonda helped fully launch the Section’s PGA REACH NENY Foundation to our guests as we haven’t been afforded that opportunity due to COVID. The meeting ended with all members being urged to help take up an activity at their facility to raise funds for PGA REACH NENY to help us meet the mission of the Foundation to “positively impact lives through golf.”

Gary Reynolds, now a PGA Life Member and former longtime Head Professional at Hartford Golf Club who also served as the District 1 Director (2001-2004), will be inducted into the PGA Hall of Fame on November 3rd, 2021, at the PGA Annual Meeting in Milwaukee.
