We have all experienced a boom over the last 18 months. We must all act together to preserve the new opportunity for the golf industry.

The boom of the last 18 months will have impacted you in some way depending upon your role.

For some, especially operational staff, it’s been almost overwhelming. At the same time as experiencing huge demand; the like of which we haven’t seen this century; many operations have been hit by labor shortages. A perfect storm of operational challenge.

For most it has also included significantly increased demand for memberships, tee times, retail product (as supply chains are disrupted) and coaching.       

There are more people playing the game, whether new to the fairway or returned, than many of us have ever known.

For coaches that should be enormous opportunity.

Are you breaking records for adult learner and junior golf programs? How many of the returning golfers have you inspired to invest in improvement? Do you have marketing campaigns and content that target those golfers?

No matter the operational and supply chain pressures, we surely don’t want to lose the wave of new demand we’ve experienced?
