The Club

Dear Member,

The Annual Masters Challenge was played on Saturday and it was well supported by our members. Everybody played off the Masters scorecard which made it fun, challenging and rewarding.

The 12th holes on both Bushwillow and Firethorn are Par 5s, but on the Masters’ scorecard, they played as Par 3s, so making points on those holes was extremely challenging. The 15th holes on both courses are Par 3s but played as Par 5s on the scorecard, so we saw a few albatrosses, eagles and even a 7-pointer.

Well done to Clive van der Mescht our Masters Champion with a great score of 45 individual points on Firethorn!

Sunday was once again spoiled by continuous rain. The League teams only managed to play 9 holes, and it was agreed by the captains to call off the games. The Junior teams were unable to start their round and therefore the result will be a draw as well.
