PGA Professionals are the most undervalued resource in the golf industry.

In the Oil and Gas industry, it is obvious what the asset is. Yes, the Gas or Petrol stations are an asset, but the real ‘gold’ is the oil and gas. That is what is converted into revenue. The companies in those industries prize the geologists, scientists, and engineers who find it and turn it into the ‘product’.

The ‘business of Oil and Gas’ is much more significant than running the Gas and Petrol stations.

When I read or hear people talking about ‘the business of golf’, I worry. I worry a lot. I worry because I fear they are often talking about the business of running the operation of a golf club.

That’s important. But what about the business of prospecting for golfers? What about the skill, knowledge, and experience required to turn the raw material into a highly profitable asset for our industry?

Is that included in the “business of golf”?
