9-Hole Couples Twilight
Friday, April 20
5:30 pm Shotgun
For the first couples event of the season, we will play an eight person (four couples) alternate shot scramble. When you are signing up, please be sure to note the 4 couples that will be paired together. If you don’t have a full group, sign up and we will pair you up with another group.
After golf, we will have dinner set up in the Fireside room. The cost per couple is $55 and includes the golf, golf prizes for the winners and dinner. | |  |

9:00 am Shotgun
This is our opening Men’s event of the season that has been rescheduled due to poor weather. We will pair all players based on the ABCD method and then play an 18-hole Shamble. It will be a good way to ease your way back into the competitive golf division, since most of us are pretty rusty from the rough winter.
After golf, we will have a nice lunch and some beer that is all included in the price of the event! |

Season Long - Sign up deadline on April 29
In the individual match play, we will split the field into three flights based on handicaps. The sign up deadline is Sunday, April 29. I will post brackets on Tuesday, May 1 and it will be your responsibility to schedule your matches by the deadline. Matches that are not completed will be decided by a coin toss unless otherwise determined by Ryan Fitzpatrick. |
Season Long - Qualifier deadline on May 1
This is our second year for the Dunning Cup, our Gross Match Play (no handicap) bracket event that will be played throughout the year. In order to participate in this event, players will need to play a qualifying round from the blue tees between now and May 1st. In order to count as a qualifying round, the player must tell the Golf Shop prior to the start of the round and must have another member sign the scorecard.
The player with the lowest score will earn the #2 seed as our 2017 champion, Nate Wright, will have the #1 seed. The rest of the players will be seeded based on their qualifying score through the top 16 seeds. The field will then be split into pods of four players and each player will be guaranteed three matches. The player from each pod with the best record will move on to compete for the semi-finals. All matches will be played with no handicaps and will be played from the blue tees.
18-Hole Ladies Match Play
Season Long - Sign up deadline on May 6th
Test your skills one-on-one with other 18-Hole Ladies members. In the individual match play, we will split the field into two flights, based on handicaps. The sign up deadline is Sunday, May 6.

The manufacturers are looking to accommodate the strike patterns of
the regular golfer (shown below).

Those improvements are about more than preserving ball speed as you strike the ball towards the toe and heel,
they’re also about preserving accuracy. Finding the fairway is really important, even to the best as shown below.
| | | | |  | This shows you that from 170 yards in the fairway, the very best golfers are more accurate on
average than they are from just 100 yards but in the rough. That is why MOI (resistance to twisting)
is so important in the latest Drivers.

The quickest way to lower a score is to improve your short game and putting but, for many golfers,
the enjoyment on most holes is lost straight away. Poor tee shots land the golfer in trouble.
A walk to find a golf ball; or an immediate penalty shot.
