To all our Muslim members, may you and your families have a very happy and blessed Ramadan. Wishing you all the blessings of the holy month. Ramadan Mubarak!

“Today, 8 months after I got my very first golf lessons and was introduced to this fantastic sport, comes hole number 17, 120 yards to the flag, with all the nerves of a tournament, and... I hit my first hole-in-1! Stephen Cottingham, you are the best golf pro ever! Cannot hide my happiness!”

How's that for a success story? 8 months into the game and she hits her first hole-in-one! Congratulations Erica!

Do you, or anyone you know, want to get into the game of golf end experience the same joy Erica is experiencing? Get in touch with us!

I sometimes think making a 3ft putt can be difficult, then I see the guys from Shaun Saddington Electrical fixing some of our flood lights and reality is regained.

Ball Position
Historically, the common concept when teaching the correct ball position was “the longer the club the more forward in your stance", with the driver ball position being opposite the inside of the left heel. Today we understand the relationship much better, and can simplify things to one ball position for every club. What changes, as you will see in the pics if you look closely, is the angle or ‘tilt’ of the shoulders. I find this helps a lot of golfers, and is far easier than the alternative of having to look at potentially 13 different ball positions.

With Father’s Day approaching on the 17th of June, it might be nice to offer him some help with his game!

“Both these golfers see golf as a social pastime. It’s an opportunity to have an enjoyable outdoor hobby that they can enjoy with friends. They like to hit good shots but know they won’t have the time or inclination to commit to be as good they can be. But both could increase the number of good shots they hit quite easily if they looked for the easy, big wins open to most golfers.”

Your distance potential is determined to large extent by your clubhead speed and we
want to make sure you’re not losing out. We can do this using a combination of appropriate technique
adjustments and golf-specific fitness exercises.

Clubhead speed, as the name suggests, is the speed of the clubhead immediately before impact with the golf ball,
and it has a big impact on your potential distance.
