On the tee with Trevor

Welcome Richard!

We have a new addition to the Bloemfontein Golf Club Team.

Richard Maree is 26 years old and started working in the Pro Shop in December 2019. He is also currently busy with his 3rd and final year of his PGA Diploma, under the Mentorship of Quintin Williams.

During his schooling career; Richard was awarded on numerous occasions as Golfer of the Year. Currently, he has a handicap index of + 3.2 and his career low round was a 62 here at our club.

We all wish you the best of success, and it has been a pleasure working with you.
What an exciting weekend of golf last weekend!

The co-sanctioned event, the Tour’s Limpopo Championships, saw our big guns, M.J and Wilco keep the Blomfontein’s Golf Clubs flag flying high.

M.J was 6 under after 54 holes and made 78 in the final round, finishing level for the tournament. What a great effort!

Wilco finished on 17 under par and second place overall.

Congratulations to you both, and thanks to Quintin for the updates ever 15 or so minutes on Sunday afternoon.

Raubex development

Bridging the gap

We're excited about the new developments underway. A big thank you to Raubex, who has made it possible to rebuild the bridge! The rain can no longer stop us from playing our beloved sport.

Unlock extra distance

Increasing your ball speed by just 1mph adds two metres to your driver shot.
Two metres could be the difference between landing on the other side of a water hazard, or in it. It could be the difference between the light rough and the heavy rough, or the lip of a fairway bunker and the short, firm grass right next to it.
How many metres can we add in a single fitting?
There are many aspects of your driver setup we can consider adjusting to increase your distance.
We’ll want to make sure you’ve got the right shaft length and weight. Also we’ll look at things like your angle of attack and dynamic loft.

There are thousands of fitting configurations. Let’s find your ONE, so you can get every metre you’re capable of.
