Our A-Side did WP Golf proud with a 5.5 to 2.5 win. Spectacular golf was played by our ladies with matches being halved on birdies. The B-Side lost 3.5 to 4.5, and the C-Side lost 2 to 6. To our teams who represented WP with enthusiasm, thank you for your enduring natures and determination. | | WP Golf Silver & Bronze Cup | The first ladies tournament of the season was held on Monday, 7th February 2022, at King David Mowbray Golf Club. The WP Silver & Bronze Cup is a Nett Tournament played over 18 holes. A total of 66 participants enter the Tournament. The course was in fantastic condition. Kudos to Don Ball and his team for setting up a fun and enjoyable course and providing excellent customer service. Congratulations to Isabella Heber (King David Mowbray) on a fantastic 68 nett, winning the Silver Cup, and to Inge De Beer (Devonvale Golf Estate) for matching her 68 nett and winning the Bronze Cup. | WPG Silver & Bronze Cup Winners | Junior Interclub Challenge | The Junior Interclub Challenge was held on Sunday, 6th February 2022 at Kuilsriver Golf Club. On a day that was destined for low scoring the players responded with some outstanding efforts. King David Mowbray A romped home to victory by a decisive 11 shots! From the outset King David Mowbray A set a high standard already being 6 under par after completing the first 9 holes!
At the end counting scores from Daniel Davidson (70), Adam Johnston (70), Gabriel Firer (72) and a non-counting 73 by Noah Musikanth saw King David Mowbray A being deserved winners. In 2nd place Bellville gave a good account of themselves with a fine team effort led by Cilliers Sachse on a 73.
In the U19 section the top individual scores were from Daniel Davidson (70), Adam Johnston (70), Eric Venter (71), and 72s by Liam Adonis, Gabriel Firer and Andries van der Vyver.

Durbanville A | 230 | In the under 13 division Clovelly Country Club had a come-from-behind-win – trailing by 3 shots after 9 holes a decisive 2nd nine fight back by the two 11-year-olds, Evan Marais (83) and Ollie Malyon (82), which saw them edge Royal Cape A by a single shot. In the individual stakes Booye Walters (Bellville) and Jude Samuels (Royal Cape A) both recorded 79s followed by Traigh Pathon (Royal Cape B) on an 80.

Congratulations to Greg Woodbridge on winning the Atlantic Beach Links Senior Series on a gross of 75. | WPG Senior Series - ABL winner Greg Woodbridge | The WP Senior Open Championships 2022 was held at Milnerton Golf Club on Thursday, 17th February and Friday, 18th February 2022.
Scoring conditions was non-existent on Thursday, taking into consideration the South Easter showing its brutal ‘teeth’. Friday, was a completely different ball game, with picture perfect conditions and impressive scoring.
Francois Hanekom, Stellenbosch Golf Club, carded a fantastic 69 gross on the final round with Greg Woodbridge, Atlantic Beach Links, and Ulrich Schulte, Bochumber Golf Club in Germany, with rounds of 2 under, 70, and Cameron Johnston, King David Mowbray Golf Club, Deon Brown, Somerset West Golf Club and Denis Day, Royal Cape Golf Club all on 1 under, 71.

Our goal is also to have one qualified referee at every Western Province club.
Minimum requirements: R&A Level 2 (preferably Level 3). (But we can help you start at Level 1 if need be.)
All training will be provided and candidates will be mentored to eventually perform duties as a qualified referee.
